Introduction
The King Tiger Tae Kwon Do Association has been offering instruction and training in Tae Kwon Do in North Carolina since 1988. King Tiger Academy was originally founded in Korea in 1959 by ninth degree black belt, Grandmaster Jung, Byung Hwa. By his late twenties Grandmaster Jung had achieved mastership in Tae Kwon Do and had served extensively in the Korean Military, teaching troops hand to hand combat skills through the art of Tae Kwon Do. In 1959 Grandmaster Jung opened the first King Tiger Academy in Seoul Korea. In 1985, Master Byung Seok Lee became the Head Instructor of the King Tiger School in Seoul, Korea and later brought his knowledge to open up the first King Tiger School in North Carolina. The first school was established in Greenville, NC in 1988. Since then our training and philosophy has become one of the fastest growing programs on the East Coast. Currently in North Carolina, we have six locations: Greenville, Goldsboro, Kinston; East Carolina University, Leland and Charlotte.

Here at King Tiger Academy we are focused and determined to serve our students with the highest quality instruction, professionalism, and service in the industry. To achieve our goal we have implemented programs that cater to the individual interests of our community. Our Students range from all ages with interest varying from stress relieving, health promoting exercises to intense, traditional training that the Martial Arts are so famous for. All aspects of our center are arranged to build a balanced relationship of trust and respect with our students. We offer discipline and character building in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere that anyone can feel comfortable in. Since 1988, Byung Lee's Tae Kwon Do has been bringing the very best in martial arts instruction to the Eastern of North Carolina. Our instructors are personally selected for not only their skill and achievements in martial arts, but also for their ability to effectively relate their knowledge and understanding to students of all ages and backgrounds. Therefore, our instructors continuously undergo advanced training to countinualy give our students the cutting edge in martial arts philosophy.

Byung Lee's King Tiger Academies focus on building a strong community through personal growth and individual strength. The King Tiger Associaotion Headquarters is located in Greenville, NC under the guidance of its President, Master Byung Seok Lee.
